Download: Tickytacky Elixir Shoppe

Welcome to the tourist trap Lucky Palms Elixir Consignment - Tickytacky Elixir Shoppe

I've been chipping away at revamping Lucky Palms for my spoiled sims, and finally I've finished decorating the Elixir Consignment.   I used it in my story a month ago, but only the outside was finished.

Lucky Palms seems like it should be full of places designed to separate tourists from their money, so I tried to build something that is flashy, but still blends in somewhat with the rest of the buildings.  Haha, I'm not sure how well I did - but at any rate this is a fun place for Alchemists to hang out with dates or friends.   It has a gem cutter, bees (honey from community lots is always nice quality), a stereo and chess table and several other goodies.

Gravity Won Warehouse

UPDATE:  There is a problem with the junk spawners, apparently EA broke them in an update?  That is the word on the street, anyway.   If you have this in your game you will need to edit it, go into buy debug, and delete junk spawners 2,3, and 4.   They are spawning brand new furniture instead of junk, causing the junkyard to fill up! Then next time I open the game I will do the same and update the file.

UPDATE UPDATE: Now available in three flavors - all salvage spawners, spawners 1 and 2 (they seem to be working normally), and no spawners.

Gravity Won Warehouse
Lucky Palms Junkyard

Lot: 40 x 40 (103 Lakeside Dr.)

This lot is the re-purposed criminal warehouse.  It was nice of EA to provide most of the fence and some of the junk already.
Sometimes, I think the EA employees are doing their best to provide us with expansion pack lots, but upper management has decided store worlds aren’t allowed to have them show up, even though expansion pack worlds auto-load lots all the time.  So they have to sneak them in there and hope that someone finishes the job.
Requires:
DOWNLOAD - all salvage spawners
This is a .package file, put it in your Library folder.

(newer downloads have some spare furniture left in because it fit and was funny)
DOWNLOAD - spawners 1 and 2 (seem to work as advertised)

DOWNLOAD - NO salvageable furniture spawners

Innocent Abandoned House

Innocent Abandoned House
an alternative Criminal Hangout for Lucky Palms

I didn’t really like the criminal hangout for Lucky Palms.  It is the perfect town for a Wild West type hideout, but instead we were given a warehouse (that looked like it should be a junkyard).

Lot size: 30x20

I placed a new lot on Lakeside Dr., across from the military base.  The location is indicated in red on the map image.

Requires:
  • Pets
  • World Adventures
  • Supernatural
  • Hardcore Fence (from the store?)
  • Lucky Palms
  • terrain paints 1
DOWNLOAD
This is in package format, put it in your Library folder.

And yes, I did convert the original rabbit hole lot into a junkyard - that file will come tomorrow.

Blank Slate House (download from Tumblr)

I posted this on Tumblr, but it will be easier to find again if I post it here. :)

Blank Slate House:
In anticipation of Simblreen I built this little house.  It’s partway between an empty shell and a finished house.  This is so it could be usable by townies if you decide to just plunk it in a town, but quickly customizable if you want to use it for your own evil plans.  I admit, I am not much of a builder, but I am really good at being excited about Halloween.

Attic:
Crib and balcony

Second Floor:
Mostly empty, ripe for the plucking ready to be quickly customized.  If you have generations I highly recommend replacing the stairs to the attic with a spiral staircase. You will need to delete the little fence I put around the giant, gaping, scary, hole in the floor.
The roof pokes into the ceiling, and I don’t know how to stop it other then remembering to click the third floor off when taking pictures.

First Floor:
The most decorated and cluttered floor. I have hidden lighting all over the place so sims look good in pictures.  Other then making sims look good, the lighting doesn’t make much sense.

I used different shades of these colors:
The more you know:
Lot size: 15 x 20
Items:
  • patch 1.38 required for spiderweb pattern and concrete walls
  • base game
  • free store items used, mostly from the Halloween and Thanksgiving sets
  • That’s it :) No CC, EPs, or SPs used
Windows: Uhmmm…I only put windows on the front.  There are so many store and CC windows that are better then the base game ones! So I did enough windows to make the house look normal from the street.  Now changing over to nicer windows won’t take so long. I hope that makes sense and is not too annoying.
What you can use it for: Whatever (almost)!  Want to finish decorating it and then re-upload it? Ok, just give a nod here.  Want to use to to show off your Simblreen goodies? AWESOME. That is totally what I’m going to use it for! Want to put it on a pay site? No.
House weirdness: When I plunked it into Strangeville it fell into a sinkhole. :( Spooky. I used “setimportedterrainoffset 2.5” to fix it.

Twinbrook fix-er up-er

So.
The Miliners and I returned to Twinbrook and it was a lagging, glitchy hot mess.

I was really hoping I'd be able to survive Twinbrook for another generation or so before moving them to a new town, but...the lurching lag zombies got me.  So tragic.

In between working on the next update, I've been trying to update a new Twinbrook, so it could be pets ready.  If a split my time between updates and updating Twinbrook both projects are less likely to send me over the proverbial edge.

One of my biggest peeves about the town is that the rabbit holes take up so much space, leaving relatively little room for houses.   So, my plan is to take advantage of the multi-purpose rabbit holes and revamp the heck out of everything.  Plus, I really fancy the style of many of the Appaloosa Plains buildings, once the faux-rustic useless fences and things are stripped away.

I first used the new City Hall.   I added some landscaping and Gnubb (to try and explain that stupid crosswalk off to the side), tested it, and then deleted the military base and police station.  Good times.

I also finished the B&B revamp - lookit the widdle moggy/mongrel house!

in progress: Twinbrook B&B (premade remade)

Edit to add: I've just been made aware that today is International Vulture Awareness Day.

I've almost finished tagging all my screenshots.  I realized...I miss actually doing that thing...what's it called?  Oh...playing the game.

So I got inspired by Wibs & the Sims to redecorate a premade lot.   I'm basically terrible at it, but it's still fun.   It's like meditation - my brain ends up totally, peacefully, empty.

Here is the victim lucky lot, It's called Nothin' But Deck, and it can be found in Twinbrook.   I figure after 3 or 4 generations in Twinbrook, some of the houses should evolve.  I thought the large deck looked like a nice dock for entertaining on, so that is how I arrived at Sneld's Bed and Breakfast.

So far I've revamped the outside, added a second floor, and decorated the boat house.  I still need to decorate inside and add some gardens.

Well, that's taking longer then expected.

So...I decided to kidnap an EA house and convert it to a crazy hodge podge house.  I thought to myself, "Self, you've acquired a ludicrous amount of projects, are you sure this is a good idea?"
"But I neeeeed it, for the comic *whine whine whine whine*"
"D:<"
"Besides, it won't take long! I'm just plopping some hideousness on an EA house, most of the work is done for me."

So the Little Roses Townhouse was selected for abuse, due to it being adorable and on a relatively small lot size (I think 20 x 20?).

I think I'm 5 hours in and I've finished one room.  Well, two if you count the perfectly ordinary and boring laundry room.   Three if you count tossing a bathroom and an inventors station into the garage as a room.  Hey...this is starting to sound not so fail.

*confetti*

ALSO, if today is a Day of Fireworks then I hope you enjoy the heck out if it.  And if not, then be happy you're not surrounded by drunk Americans? :D  Have a good one, either way.

Octocat, you require more study.

How is it that you can open jars containing food, while you are also innocently sleeping in the other room?

Well well... enjoy your stay in....OCTOJAILHABITAT.

(Also, I now totally love the fog emitters)

the power of worrying about the Miliners

So light and happy!
So... I realized that Maebe will need to move out soon. :(   So I built a house for spares to hang out in while I find them spouses/decide what to do with them.   But I built it in Barnacle Bay because if Generations has borked my most recent Miliner save I don't want to know until...later.  :D

So...here's some picture spam of the Spare House.   It's still a box...but...I'm getting better?

And yet...

The Miliner House So Far

Who among us does not have platonic feelings of severe love for Club Crimsyn? After looking at converted corn for the, well...I've spent a lot of time looking at that corn wondering if I should make the jump from skin/hair/maternity clothes to also using custom build supplies.  And yes, yes I think I should.

But I know once I use the corn and foxglove and so on it will soon turn into tables with more clutter slots and custom cubbies and many many more plants.  And before long sharing the legacy house will just become increasingly silly, because there's only so many pieces of CC I think I can list before breaking down into sarcastic laughter at myself and deleting the entry.

It already has patterns (which I guess, technically, are CC) and a load of store content (oh, Daily Deal, how you tempt me).  Sorry guys, I didn't really make it to be uploaded.  But I am sharing it because it's campy and cute and why not?

More pictures - more or less accurate (it's a lived in house so small changes are being made constantly)
