it's in my brain

:D

Some thoughts:
Tea party!   And there is a tea clock.   I would have liked it better if a tea party was an actual party, and there was a scones recipe, but I'm pretty delighted just to see that little moodlet.   In fact, I make the poor pre-made kid in the unsuspecting test family I've been playing have constant tea parties with his teddy bear just so that moodlet is usually there.  The other wishes are just pie in the sky type wishes.  As in, I'd also like to win a bazillion dollars, but I'm not going to fret over that never happening.

Tea = large mood boost

So far I like Generations much more then I thought I would.  First of all, it came with a free OLS pack.   Which I thought I would hate, but it came with clothes that are both plausible and very attractive.  And a new art easel.

As for the expansion pack... it's nothing jaw dropping, it just boosts the entertainment value of romance and children.

Also, the new toys make going to the park significantly more entertaining.  Watching random townies fail at hopscotch,  play in the sand, and generally congregate much more willingly is much better then realizing your sim is stuck watching someone play for tips- every single time you leave them alone in the park.

Also, my sims don't have the bad mood bed bug any more.

And I'm not positive, but I think homework is much less time intensive.   Especially when getting help from a parent.

Edit:
I forgot to mention that there is new maternity wear, and Octocat is on one of the shirts.   Awesome.

Also.

How have I not seen anyone mention any of the pre-made houses?  They look great.  I am completely loving the McMansion with the garage converted into an in-law apartment.  Also, a little adorable 2 person castle is available.

I wonder if, right at this very moment, that little castle is being used in a post-as-you-play vampire legacy on facebook?

800 views! :D!! Thank you - I made you a gift

I can't believe my little blog has had over 800 views.   I'm sure a lot of it is the Miliner's - so they thank you, too.

And the thing that leaves me totally gobsmacked is that it's not even 800 people visiting once, people actually come back a second time.   That is significantly more exciting and touching.

And how to celebrate?

I made you a carrot cake!  It's a brand new item, not a replacement of the current cake, so you get to pick which one to serve your birthday simmies.

I'm still pretty newby so there's some things I have no idea how to fix, like the little flowers on top from the specular layer, and the cake slices are still the same old cake slices.

But, still...celebrations and cake.  They go together like milkshakes and rapid hair growth.

Enjoy, I hope it finds you in good health, and thank you all.  <3

not a comic: brief tea interlude

various store items

store items and Camille's conversion of Pretty in Pink

Yup, I'm procrastinating.   Every minute I play brings Ocelot and Cho closer to Grimmy.   And where is the fun in that?

New comic on Monday, because I've spent too long decorating the house.

It is darn cute, though.

Camille's pretty in pink conversion is HERE.

Update :  Maybe Tuesday?   It might be safer to say "Updates whenever I can until/if I have wrist surgery."

Almost done...

Why oh why is this not Earl Grey?

First off...thank you to Mod the Sims and the skininator and easy to follow tutorials!

I know whenever you sit down to play the Sims you think 'Oh man, I wish my sims could look like pensive sepia photographs without having to push the button labeled 'sepia' in Photoshop.'   Fret not, I have been pouring ludicrous amounts of time into making a sepia tone ramp.

I am in love with making tone ramps now!   They require very little dexterity, which is good, because the cartilage in my wrist is still giving me grief.

I have gone through at least a dozen variations of this ramp...pulling out colors that were too green, too bright, too gray, too dark...

I'm pretty happy with this latest one - all I need to do is figure out how to add text to the little slider window that is both legible and helpful.

I wasn't originally going to share it - but hey I'm happy with it and I'm not going to be forcing anyone to use it, just making it available if someone would like to add it to their own skins.  So I guess...why not?

P.S.  Brightened hair is from Shyne

Mediafired - patterns for those of among us who hate the exchange

Here are my spooky patterns for 2010, on mediafire.

I'm not sure what else to say?

Thank you to those of you who downloaded, I hope they brought you Halloween joy.

Victorian Pumpkins

Splatter and Decay

Large Pumpkin Teapots

Bats and a Hidden Moon

Link to the exchange, if you want to grab them separately and the exchange does not fill you with rage:

Bats and a Hidden Moon
Decaying and Splattered
Pumpkin Teapot

I hope by next Halloween to turn the Pumpkin Teapot into a sim painting - I spent the time on drawing and painting it, I just have to get it from point A to point B.

And....the Mediafire link - it has all the patterns included.
