Ok, so. My brain feels weird.

I managed to get my Secret Santa gift for the GoS event done by Thursday.   I am painfully aware that it doesn't look like much, but I ended up spending close to 20 hours on it.   I really hope my person decides to at least posts the pictures.  It feels so weird to spend so long on a project and then not post it here.  She said she liked it though, so that's good.  (Technically, I felt sick with worry until she wrote back, and then my heart lifted and little birdies sang and even the cat was well behaved for 15 seconds.)

Also, I was pretty bummed about not finishing my giant project for the Alterna-chic theme.  But I didn't want to post nothing.

Then I had an idea!

They have a strict rule about no double posting, so I had to edit my post from the 28th to add it.  If this was a good idea, I hope people see it.   If it's actually a stupid idea then I hope no one sees it. >.>   <.<

The splat one originally had a canvas texture, and last night it still looked like canvas.   This morning it just looks rough, which aggravates me.

This tattoo was just because I was in hurry to test gradients out - should help spice up things like flowers and pumpkins and cat eyes and the like.

Well, I'm excited.

Also, I learned a valuable lesson about ArtRage and .dds files.   I think it might add an invisible specular layer and it makes saving as a .dds impossible.    So if you have used ArtRage and then got an error message, I feel your pain.   But copying and pasting the wanted layers into a new document worked surprisingly well.   The more you know!

plot overload

I'm trying to strike a balance between lighthearted and doom and gloom foreshadowing for the Miliners, so expect delays while I waffle. :D  (So...what do you think Ocelot is searching for?  And what could possibly be a worse thing to find in your garden then squirrels?)  Am I rambling?  I've been up since 3:45.





Also, I'll be putting in 10-12 hour days for work (luckily, a lot of it reading at home).

So, to continue a fine tradition of distracting myself I learned how to make tattoos and made a sim for GoS.

From what I understand you can just plop the .sim file in with your saved sims, and the sim will be waiting for you in create a sim under young adults.   So far the only time I've had trouble with .sim files is when I don't have the correct skin, otherwise missing CC is either replaced with horrible clothes, purple eyeshadow, or just left off (like piercings).
